Project Updates
We are continuing to make progress toward bringing the Retired HERO Fund to life!
Upcoming Fundraising Event
I am currently working on organizing an indoor golf tournament to help raise funds and bring our community together in support of retired volunteer firefighters and paramedics. Additional details, including event dates, registration information, and sponsorship opportunities, will be announced soon.
Website Traffic & Donations
We recently reached our first 100 website visits! While we are excited to see people beginning to discover our mission, donations have been very limited so far. Every contribution, regardless of size, helps us move closer to our goal of supporting those who have spent their lives serving others.
Personal Investment & Getting Started
Getting this project off the ground has required a significant personal investment. To date, I have invested more than $750 of my own money into launching and developing the Retired HERO Fund.
These expenses have included:
-
Website development, hosting, and related technology.
-
A dedicated laptop and equipment to manage fund operations.
-
Business cards and promotional materials.
-
A video backdrop and equipment to help produce informational and promotional videos.
-
Other startup expenses necessary to establish and promote the organization.
One of my priorities from the beginning has been maintaining a clear separation between my personal finances and the fund's activities. I want to build a transparent operation where contributions, expenses, and fundraising activities can be properly tracked and accounted for.
Moving Forward
This is just the beginning. Building something meaningful takes time, dedication, and support from people who believe in the mission.
My goal is to create an organization that gives back to retired volunteer firefighters and paramedics who have spent years helping others during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Thank you to everyone who has visited the website, shared our mission, contributed, or offered encouragement. Every bit of support makes a difference, and I look forward to sharing more updates as we continue moving forward.
Together, we can make a difference for those who have spent their lives making a difference for others.
